My son is six years old and autistic. It bothers me when we treat him as if he does not understand. It is assumed, in fact, he's smarter than most people credit him. It is difficult to know whether a living .... "" A normal life, and I assume you mean that your chances of finding a job, marry and have children ... etc. Some people believe that Einstein was autistic ... not until he was 4, and often "wake up". Einstein had a wonderful marriage and children ... and you know the rest. The most important thing is that your love is not unconditional and can be discouraged. I was devistated to see that my son has been "delayed", but with the help of doctors and teachers, that they are now in front of the children of his age. Only six years and is in a position to do mathematics in the second year and working with machines and not for children twice as old as complicated. It's a bit back in the areas of language, but has increased apace. Next year he will be ready for the first year. There are several possibilities, GEt help. Ask your child neurologist, a pediatrician for a list of schools for autism in your area, or you can get help from Autism Speaks (link included). Feel free to e-mail if you have any questions, or if you just hit "Download". As parents of an autistic child, I understand what happens .... Reserve ... not as bad as you think.

My nephew, 10 years old best friend has Asperger's and, yes, he leads a "normal" life. Asperger children are often very intelligent as "little professors" - despite the social problems in general. Nicky needs help with many social things, but also took courses at the university there. From what I understand, it's also funny and entertaining. Prepare yourself, your lawyer in the school.

You are just an article in the newspaper this Sunday for our clients. Had a group of parents and all to Easter Seals. IF YOU want to look up the Peoria Journal Star in Peoria, Illinois. Enjoy the best.

Asperger's is a relatively good prognosis, with Asperger's are often very intelligent but struuggle with certain aspects of life, but ultimately as an adult must be a fully functioning member of society

It is hard to tell if your life is normal at this stage with so little detail. What is the diagnosis in the first place? Asperger's syndrome, like all disabilities has, in varying degrees. If your case is very gentle, very likely, it leads the way and have a normal life realitively. Is this a serious case can be difficult. I work as a psychologist with a school system in VA, some students with Asperger syndrome educated in mainstream classes with their peers, others are in the same class, the others are somewhere between the two. Depends on the situation of his son.

My experience is that, no, not even now lead a normal life. "
will always be in their own world. There are many promising therapies. Use the largest possible number of them - like you can do it and how. try everything and see if it works at all.
